SplitGigs is a social network that helps emerging bands or musicians find gigs to play, through a simple but highly effective idea: the "SplitGig".
A SplitGig is an exchange of gigs - i.e. I let your band play at my gig, then you return the favor by letting my band play at your gig. Got it? Both bands end up with an extra gig... another opportunity to get their music heard. Simple, but effective.
Any band or musician, from anywhere in the world, playing any type of music - whether they have gigs to split with other bands or not - can sign up to SplitGigs.
The Guest is the band or musician taking part in a SplitGig that they have not organised themselves.
For each SplitGig that you organise (for which you, therefore, are the host), you will be given 5 points (+5). For every SplitGig that you do not organise (at which you, therefore, are the guest), you will be given 3 points (+3).
You can find that out and more by going to the About page.
At the bottom of each page there is a Feedback section, where you can get in touch about anything with us.
Go to the Your gigs page to add, modify or delete your concerts.
When a user makes a SplitGig Request for one of your concerts, you will immediately be informed by e-mail. By accessing your profile in the SplitGigs requests section, you can accept or refuse the requests that you have received. In addition, on the right of each page of your dashboard, you will find the Notifications section, which lets you know immediately if you have received requests to split a gig.
If you have accepted a SplitGig Request from a user but you then decide that you want to cancel it, go to the Your Gigs section and click on the icon
to enter the Edit Gig section.
Then go to the Edit guests sub-section and cancel the relevant request by clicking on the REMOVE button.
On the gigs to split page, you can browse the concerts being organised by other users. If you want to participate in a SplitGig, click on the Request to Split button that you will find next to each concert listing. You must be a registered user to make a SplitGig Request.
You will instantly receive an e-mail when the user accepts or refuses your request. By accessing your profile in the SplitGigs requests section, you can check the status of your requests. In addition, on the right of each page of your dashboard, you will find the Notifications section, which lets you know immediately if there have been any updates to the statuses of your requests.
By clicking on the "LOGIN" link on the top right of the site you'll be brought to a screen which allows you to login with your username and password.
Click the icon
on the upper right - a menu will then open, containing the logout link.
You do that by going to Edit profile. You can change the page link to whatever you'd like, whenever you'd like. Just remember if you've given out that URL, the old one will no longer work.
